Toner Jewelers provides professional appraisals from experienced gemologists who have the expertise and knowledge needed to evaluate jewelry pieces accurately. The drop-off process is simple and fast; all customers need to do is bring their items into the store. A sales associate will measure, weigh, and account for all the stones to write a detailed receipt. The gemologist will then use industry-standard tools and certified scales to conduct and prepare your appraisal, offering peace of mind that each piece has been properly assessed.
Once prepared, the gemologist will alert you that it is complete, and the appraisal will be emailed directly to you so that it can easily be forwarded to insurance companies and printed for your records. If you’d like printed copies, we can prepare those for you to pick up along with your jewelry piece. Appraisals include a thorough description of the item, all weights of metals and gemstones (estimated while set), measurements, pictures, and a fair market replacement value.
Pricing structure: $125 per jewelry item or $150 on timepieces or watches. Discounts may apply after the 4th item. One free appraisal is provided by request with items purchased at Toner Jewelers. Purchases from Toner Jewelers are subject to appraisal update fees.
You should update your appraisals every 5-7 years. Appraisal updates cost $35 per item.
